About us
At Digi Farm Factory and Technologies (D.F.F.T.), we are committed to addressing some of the most pressing environmental and climate challenges facing the world today. Founded with a mission to foster environmental sustainability, our company is focused on developing innovative solutions that will have a long-lasting impact on both local and global scales. While our work spans across the globe, we are particularly focused on the Gulf region, where environmental and climate concerns are increasingly critical.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote and implement sustainable practices that address climate change, water scarcity, and food security. Through research, planning, and action, we aim to create resilient ecosystems that support human life, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. Our projects are designed to mitigate the effects of global warming, protect future generations, and ensure that the Gulf region and the world can thrive in harmony with nature.
Gulf Green Development Project
One of our flagship initiatives is the Gulf Green Development Project, a transformative effort aimed at greening the deserts of the Gulf region. This project is particularly focused on the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, countries that are not only economic powerhouses but also face significant environmental challenges.

The Challenge
The Gulf region is experiencing unprecedented environmental pressures. Global warming is contributing to rising temperatures, with the region seeing temperature increases of 1.36 degrees Celsius above historical averages, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This warming trend is expected to worsen, with predictions indicating a further 1.2 times increase by 2030, making summers potentially unbearable with temperatures soaring as high as 60°C.
In addition to climate challenges, the Gulf countries are heavily dependent on food imports, with up to 85% of their food being imported, according to a March 2022 report from the Australian Department of Agriculture. This reliance on external sources of food poses a significant risk to food security, especially as global supply chains become more strained.
Water scarcity is another critical issue, identified as the biggest global risk by the World Economic Forum in 2015. The Gulf region’s growing population, rising living standards, and increased agricultural demands are exacerbating this problem, making it essential to find sustainable water management solutions.

Our Solution: Desert Greening
The Gulf Green Development Project aims to address these challenges through the innovative concept of desert greening. Scientific research supports the idea that vegetation can influence rainfall patterns, with approximately 40% of land precipitation originating from the evaporation and transpiration of water from plants. By planting organized forests and developing green farming land, we aim to create a self-sustaining ecosystem that will help to mitigate water scarcity, combat climate change, and enhance food security in the Gulf region.
The economic benefits of this initiative are substantial. Currently, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar spend billions of dollars each year on food imports, water desalination, and cloud seeding to meet their basic needs. Our project has the potential to reduce these costs significantly by creating a local, sustainable source of food and water. Desert greening could transform the Gulf region into a hub of sustainable agriculture, reducing reliance on imports and supporting economic growth through the creation of new jobs in the green and agricultural sectors.
Our Global Reach
While the Gulf region is our primary focus, our work extends to other parts of the world where environmental and climate issues are of concern. We are actively involved in projects in India, the United States, Australia, and other countries, where we apply our expertise in environmental sustainability to address local challenges.
Research and Innovation
At D.F.F.T., we believe that research and innovation are key to solving the world’s environmental problems. Our team of experts is continuously exploring new methods and technologies that can enhance our efforts to green deserts, manage water resources, and create sustainable agricultural practices. We collaborate with leading scientists, research institutions, and governmental bodies to ensure that our projects are based on the latest scientific knowledge and are implemented effectively.
Our Vision for the Future
At Digi Farm Factory and Technologies (D.F.F.T.), our vision is to create a world where environmental sustainability and climate resilience are integral to the development of every community. We aspire to transform arid regions into thriving ecosystems that support not only the natural environment but also the economic and social well-being of the people who live there.
We envision a future where the Gulf region, along with other parts of the world, becomes a leader in sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. By greening deserts, enhancing water security, and fostering local food production, we aim to reduce dependency on external resources and build a self-sufficient, sustainable future.
Our vision extends beyond immediate solutions to address the root causes of environmental degradation and climate change. Through research, innovation, and collaboration, we seek to develop and implement practices that will safeguard our planet for generations to come. We are committed to inspiring others to take action, creating a global movement towards a greener, more sustainable world.
Ultimately, our vision is to leave a legacy of sustainability, where future generations can thrive in harmony with nature, benefiting from the work we do today to protect and nurture the environment.
